“DL Finch of Patchogue, New York, as a boat for a ride on the ice, which would climb through a small door.It was made from a part of the bearing surface of the aircraft and was a sort of sail. But this boat is not governed by turning ordinary sails, and the movement of rails on which it moved toward the most favorable place for the prevailing wind. The windows were made in front of the wing, and Finch called his invention “ice glider.”“
