Dick Allen made the best after market springer front ends for Harley's in the 1960s and 1970s. I went over to his old shop on Manhattan Beach Blvd in Lawndale CA many years ago to see him work. He could make a compound angle weld by eye and you could not even see any light or porosity thru the weld. I still have his welds on my 1965 XLCH Sportster. What a master old school craftsman he was and he will always be missed----------------------------------The Wolfman---
