Music: Brigitte Bardot (with Serge Gainsbourg), "Harley Davidson"

"The French obsession with motorcycles as a symbol of rebellion and unbridled sensuality reached its apex in 1968, both in Alain Delon's smutty psychedelic fantasy The Girl On A Motorcycle and this song, one of several successful collaborations between Serge Gainsbourg and his ye-ye muse Brigitte Bardot. While Bardot's mock-insouciant purrs about how she doesn't need anybody so long as she's on her Harley are slightly less than convincing, no one's going to question her rebel cred when she's straddling her bike decked out in formfitting leather."

Ah, a great reminder of Bardot before she turned Front National. Boots going all the way up to the box is just great. Of course the woman can't sing, but she sure does know how to move around the bike.

Trivia bit: She also sang duet with Serge Gainbourg in 'Je T'aime', but chickened out, so the released version featured Jane Birkin instead (who can't sing either).
