"The Standbike V8 Concept uses a 305 cubic-inch (5,000cc) V8 with four-speed transmission featuring one extra gear for reversing the bike. The engine is from General Motors. This was not an easy matter. The bike sized 690 kg of weight, 2615mm of wheelbase, and 3210mm of length. Standbike spend eight years to develop and uses various unique technical solutions that allow the V8’s power and torque to be suitably harnessed for extreme traction. High-tech hydraulics and electronic system are used to control steering, clutch and lean-control systems. It needs also single-sided suspension which is used at both ends to make it stable while cornering and reaching a top speed over 300km/h. Standbike V8 Concept motorcycle’s performance is also supported by four 16-inch wheels (two each at the front and back) wrapped with 205/45 rubber."
