"DKW, 1916 founded by Jørgen Skafte Rasmussen from Denmark, was one of the makes of the Auto Union group, of which now only Audi is left. DKW was well known for its motorbikes, in fact, by the 1930s, DKW was the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer. In 1932, DKW merged with Audi, Horch and Wanderer to form the Auto Union, and all brands continued until World War II"
