"Late in 1929, a group of road scouts had been organized in England to aid troubled motorists on the highways. The group which was called the Girl Road Scouts and this photo shows Miss Grace New, one of the first members of the group, beginning her duties on the Kingston-by-Pass Road.
She wears a becoming uniform and is equipped with a motorcycle (BSA) and kit for rendering first aid in motor accidents, etc."
