Jerry Baber gets bent.

"Early on, Jerry Baber began to translate the malleability of different grades and textures of wire into expressions of art in motion. As a child, his mother Frieda surrounded him with paintings and art-filled stories.

This L.A. native further cultivated his artistic bent and took on sculpting to create scenes and figures out of pipe cleaners, bread wrappers and telephone wire.

When Jerry was just eight years old, the principal of his elementary school referred him for formal training with the Snow family of Beverly Hills. Soon after that, he was designing and producing whimsical characters for weekend puppets shows using only pipe cleaners and papier-mâché.

Since then, Jerry’s meticulously detailed figures of anatomy, nature, and transportation have been showcased in local galleries, high-end retail displays and trade shows. Not surprisingly, the exceptionally, dynamic aesthetic of his work has gained him a sizeable following."
